What Is PicoSure FOCUS for Skin Rejuvenation?

PicoSure FOCUS is a new laser technology revolutionizing the skin rejuvenation field. This groundbreaking device uses short pulses of energy to stimulate the skin's natural collagen production, resulting in a more youthful appearance. PicoSure FOCUS is said to be more effective than many other skin rejuvenation treatments because it targets the deeper layers of the skin. Therefore, this means that the results of the treatment are better and longer-lasting.

Pigmentary conditions can be treated with picosecond aesthetic lasers. For the first time in history, overall skin rejuvenation is achievable. This technology is also capable of tattoo removal. The treatment does not cause skin injuries since it is a non-ablative resurfacing procedure. Through microscopic, photomechanical reactions in the epidermis, Cynosure's Focus Lens Array (FLA) communicates with the dermis. As a result, the skin produces more collagen and elastin. The PicoSure laser offers virtually no downtime for rejuvenating your skin.

If you are considering PicoSure FOCUS for skin rejuvenation, it is important to consult with a qualified skin care professional from our Rockford office to see if the treatment is right for you.

What Skin Concerns Can PicoSure FOCUS Treat?

The PicoSure FOCUS Lens Array treatments address various skin concerns, including:

  • Wrinkles
  • Fine lines
  • Acne scars
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Age spots

Does the PicoSure Laser Really Work?

Several studies show that PicoSure works well to treat wrinkles, fine lines, and pigmentation caused by aging. Scars caused by acne are also effectively treated with it. PicoSure laser treatments improved the appearance and texture of acne scars after 6 treatments, according to a 2015 study. Researchers say the results are similar to fractional ablative laser treatments, but may just take a few more sessions than others.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

The number of PicoSure FOCUS laser treatments you will need will depend on several factors, including the severity of your skin condition, the area of your body under treatment, your skin type, and your individual response to the treatment. Most unwanted pigment will start to lighten or improve after your first few sessions, but since Pico is considered a less intensive treatment, it can take some time to see singificantly visible changes. PicoSure FOCUS Aftercare and Recovery

PicoSure FOCUS is becoming increasingly popular for its ability to improve the appearance of pigmented lesions, fine lines, wrinkles, and acne scars. But like any laser treatment, there are some things you need to know about PicoSure FOCUS aftercare and recovery. Here's what you need to know to ensure a smooth and successful recovery

  1. Avoid sun exposure. It's essential to avoid sun exposure for at least 2 weeks after your treatment. This will help to prevent any adverse effects from the laser.
  2. Use SPF 30 or higher sunscreen. Be sure to use sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher to protect your skin. Until your skin has healed, it will be more sensitive to the sun.
  3. Moisturize regularly. Be sure to moisturize your skin regularly to help keep it hydrated and looking its best.
  4. Avoid strenuous activity. You should avoid strenuous activity for at least 48 hours after your treatment. This includes working out, running, or other activities that raise your heart rate and body temperature.
  5. Don't pick at your skin. It's important not to rub, scratch, or pick at your skin, or you may risk infection or scarring.
  6. Avoid wearing make-up. Using make-up products like foundation or face powder after a skin treatment may irritate your skin.
  7. Maintain a regular and gentle skincare routine. Your sensitive skin may be further aggravated by hot water. To promote healing, wash your face gently with cool or lukewarm water and a mild cleanser.
